  1. Introduction to International Education

    • • Brief:

    An introduction about different international K-12 programs American, British, and IB programs. The module will help the trainees to recognize the methodology, content standards, and programs of the American, British, and IB schools. The module will also update the trainees about the international schools in Cairo and the line of education they follow.


    • • Duration:

    9 sessions, 9 week, 24 hours


  1. Subject-based Teaching Methodology

    • • Brief:

    The module will help the trainees to recognize and be able to efficiently use the most popular ELA, Math, and Science programs in international education. The module will also provide the trainees with the most effective techniques in teaching ELA, Math and Science in K-12.


    • • Duration:

    12 Sessions, 12 weeks, 32 hours


  1. Diagnostic, Formative, and Summative Assessment:

    • • Brief:

    The module will help the trainees to differentiate between the purpose and functions of diagnostic, formative, and summative assessment. The trainees will be able to use diagnostic assessment to analyze their students’ academic background and build intervention plans for them, use the formative assessment for the daily tasks that reflect students’ mastery of the daily objectives, use summative assessment to build and analyze tests and performance tasks for the students using the international measures and standards.

    9 sessions, 9 week, 24 hours


  1. Modern Teaching Methodology:

    • • Brief:

    The module will help the trainees to use modern teaching methods; such as, differentiated instruction and cooperative learning. Through the module the trainees will acquire the necessary skills to bring learning within the reach all the students by differentiating instruction based on the students’ academic level, learning styles, and interests. The trainees will also be able to build active learning environments using grouping and cooperative learning techniques for healthy, fun, active, and positive learning environments.


    • • Duration:

    9 sessions, 9 week, 24 hours


  1. Classroom Management:

    • • The module will help the trainees to create positive classroom environments using research-based classroom management techniques. By the end of the module the trainees will be able to create classroom management plan, build classroom structures, build students’ contracts, and raise students’ independency and responsibility.


    • • Duration:

    9 sessions, 9 week, 24 hours


  1. Curriculum Design:

    • • The module will help the students to use content standards to build curriculum frameworks, scope and sequence, yearly plans, weekly plans, and lesson plans. The students will also be able to build unit plans using PYP and MYP transdisciplinary framework via Understanding by Design methods of curriculum planning for their plans to be effective, life-related, college-related, career-related, and performance based.

    12 sessions, 12 weeks, 32 hours
